Candyland and Chutes and Ladders are childhood classics and sooooooo good for my kids to play but by the time I am at child Four, I just can't handle playing these games again. I feel the same way about reading Dr. Seuss. It is very sad for my little ones. The big girls got hours and hours of me playing these games with them but I just don't have the patience for them any more. Thankfully, my big girls will play with them and read these things to them. Am I a lazy parent? probably. Hopefully these little ones will have a rich life in other ways. I still play the games with them but my patience for the games is a lot lower than it used to be.
On a happier note, I ran my 5k and was able to run the whole thing non-stop. 31:16 Not super fast but good for me. The family came and cheered for me.
I made a dollhouse for Three and I am doing a birthday party for her (she is almost 6).
